We are bold in presenting our news as we move to all Maa counties across the country.

Former governor David Nkedianye today said if elected the next governor, he will build a brand new hospital in Kenyawa/Poka Ward.

Nkedianye, who spoke in the ward after meeting several stakeholders, said his plan before he was rudely ejected out by the system in 2017 was to build a hospital in each of the 25 wards in the county.

“The health of our people is and has been my priority because without good health people cannot work, and children cannot go to school. The one who replaced me had his priorities upside down,” claimed Nkedianye.

Nkedianye said any leader who has no value for the people who elected him is an enemy of his/her bosses.

“We had put up all the necessary structures when we took over from a broke Olkejuado county council, and before the people of this county could enjoy their fruits of devolution, Katoo ole Metito was there grooming a failure to have over to the system to remove me,” lamented Nkedianye.

He said leadership is a calling and not given as Lenku was handed on a platter.

Nkedianye apologised to the people of Kajiado for the trail of messes Lenku allegedly left behind in the last 4 years.

“This will not happen again as the people of Kajiado have this time around, known who messed their devolution,” said Nkedianye.

He said he will reclaim the county’s lost glory, and ensure the projects he initiated are maintained as he starts new projects.

Later in the day, Nkedianye and his team landed in Sultan Hamud where he met business people and the area residents.

The former governor was shocked to learn that the Nol-Turesh water he used to supply to Emali, Sultan Hamud and Machakos towns was ceased by governor Lenku’s administration after allegedly diverting the water from the Nol-Turesh River illegally into individual farms along the Emali-Loitokitok highway.

Before the issue of water was fully debated, residents and the traders claimed that security flashlights that were installed by Nkedianye’s administration were switched off immediately after the last general election.

During Nkedianye’s tenure as governor, his administration built a fence around Enooretet Primary School, two main roads to Sultan Hamud (Enooretet and Oltirkish Bwana Kala roads), among others in Kenyawa Poka.

Nkedainye was accompanied by Jubilee WR candidate Simayiai Rakita and Kajiado East MP candidate Marina Kelly.
