MCA aspirant Dalmas Maato today said if elected on a UDA ticket, he will transform Kitengela town’s backstreets using cabro brick in the next three years.
Maato, who is aspiring to be Kitengela Ward MCA, claimed that all the backstreets of Kitengela town are impassable during the rainy season.
“Our people have suffered for many years because of bad leadership. Every ward gets Sh30 million for development every financial year, and, regrettably, nothing tangible has happened in this ward in the last 10 years,” said Maato.
Maato spoke to Kajiado News Update after touring the Kitengela Medical/Market Road, Kitengela Market, Kyang’ombe area, and the town’s CBD on Saturday.

The MCA aspirant lamented that some backstreet roads were still wet three weeks after the last rain.
“I sympathise with our people who use these roads to access the town and the market. How can this can be explained by the sitting MCA?” asked Maato.
He said that once he is elected, his first project is to build the roads in the ward, beautify Kitengela town and put up public toilets in every corner of the town.
“Leaders must be accountable at all times. Kitengela market is messy, rubbish is piled up all over for weeks without being collected. This is shameful,” he said.
On the security issues in the town, Maato lamented that many people are reportedly mugged every day by thugs because the county flashlights are no longer working.
