The family of former Kajiado MP, David Sankori, are saddened to announce the passing on of their beloved family member, Mrs Susan Sankori.
Her son Paul Sankori, said his mother passed away quietly in her sleep on September 24. She was 70.
“May I take this opportunity to announce on behalf of my family that funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course, said the son.
Sankori said his mother served as a teacher for many years during her youth and later years when his father was in politics.
“She had an illustrious career as a teacher and his death has left the family devasted,” said her son, Sankori.
On receiving the news of Mrs Sankori’s demise, governor Joseph Lenku said: “We mourn a gallant matriarch who shaped the lives of many children in our county in her illustrious teaching career”.
Lenku said as a renowned farmer, the late Mrs Sankori set the trend as a transformative woman leader who showed the way in seeking an alternative source of livelihood for her community.
“A deeply religious lady, she participated in the growth of the African Inland Church where she worshipped till her demise,” said Lenku.
