If an election of Kajiado county women representative MP was held today, Priscilla Sailepu would have won, according to KNU’s straw poll results.
Out of the 385 people who voted on our digital straw poll link, Sailepu received 122 votes representing 31.69 per cent of the total votes in the popularity contest.
Sisina Gladys came in close with 108 votes representing 28.05 per cent of the total votes, while the incumbent, Janet Teyiaa received 83 votes in the popularity straw poll results.
Juliana Katimua got 51votes (13.25 per cent), while Jackie Lekarri collected 18 votes (4.6 per cent) as Naomi Tumate received 3 votes (0.78 per cent).
The voting took 2 days and the straw poll shareable link was distributed on all the local social platforms.
The question asked was: – ‘Whom will you vote for, among the given names, if an election of Kajiado County women representative was held today?’
These polls have a strong indication of the performance of each individual if they sustain contact with their supporters.
It is used worldwide for political reasons, and in most cases reflects the true picture on the ground.
“We shall be carrying out such polls frequently ahead of the 2022 general election to gauge our leaders with a political interest in elective positions,” said the CEO of KNU, Kurgat Marindany.
