Governor Joseph Lenku is squarely in “One Kenya Alliance” and will rally Kajiado and Narok Maasai into joining the bandwagon ahead of the 2022 general elections.

Speaking in Nairobi on Thursday, when he met ANC, Wiper, FK and Kanu party leaders, Lenku said the Maa nation will be part of any effort being geared towards uniting all forces in the country to seek a better Kenya now and beyond the next general election.

Lenku said he spoke as a representative of the Narok-Kajiado Economic Block.

This was during the inaugural briefing of the ‘One Kenya Alliance’ attended by various party leaders including; Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper Party), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Gideon Moi (Kanu), and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya).

The Governor reiterated his support for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s efforts to unite the country and ensure Kenyans enjoy progress together.

He paid tribute to the political parties that won by-elections in Kabuchai, Matungu and Machakos, adding that One Kenya Alliance is a sure bet in the next general election.

The governor said he is happy that the new alliance is working closely with the Jubilee party and because it has a similar vision with the ruling party.

The announcement by Governor Lenku that he will rally the Maa Nation behind the One Kenya Alliance bandwagon, threw many people into political limbo.

This comes out, especially after rumours are rife that the Jubilee party may not be able to run alone in the coming general election.

This is also coming up after DP William Ruto and Raila Odinga of ODM have said they may work together ahead of the next general election.

Both ODM and UDA of Ruto have rubbished the unity being fronted by the One Kenya alliance and calling it “tribal units coming together” for purposes of winning an election.

Odinga and Ruto are currently the most vibrant politicians, whose parties’ unity can produce a real political tsunami in the journey of forming the next government.
