The Strawpoll opinion was taken between Sunday and Tuesday morning with a simple question of who would win between three men.
The leaders we manage to poll were; the incumbent – Philip Mpaayei, politicians Johnson Osoi, Daniel Tenaai, and Eliud Meja.
We regret that we failed to include most of the candidates who have come over to declare their interest such as Peter Musei, Judy Pareno and others out there.
Not that the ones we polled against the incumbent are stronger than the rest left out, but the idea was purely to just gauge their popularity.
This is not an election but an opinion poll aimed at guiding our voters and those in power to change their leadership for the betterment of the lives of the people they lead.
Opinion polls do not stagnate. We shall be carrying them out regularly on Kajiado News Update page platform for you to see the trend.
For this particular poll, Tenaai, who is also a land rights activist managed 55.30 per cent of all the total (132) votes cast digitally.
So this means that if an election was held between November 22 and 23, he would the next Kajiado senator.
Reasons for why the incumbent was ranked number three (15.91 per cent) after Speaker Osoi’s 25.00 per cent remain our guess.
Meja, a relative of politician Francis Meja who is seeking governor position in 2022, was last relegated to the fourth position with 3.79 per cent.
In our next review, we shall include all the candidates interested in this position.
