Maa nation is soon going to have their first national television station to be broadcasted from Nairobi.

NEP Media Group (K) spokesman, Kurgat Marindany, said on Tuesday, October 27 night the station has been licensed fully by Communications Authority of Kenya and broadcasting will take off in the next two months.

“The Maa nation will watch TV online via live stream, view our online and TV schedule, watch top TV shows and synopsis as soon as we are up,” said Marindany, who is also a Kenyan media personality.

Marindany said the name of the station will be inaugurated “soon”, and this is only an announcement to keep the Maa nation abreast of the good news.

“We shall be watched world-wide and the station will act as a direct link for our Maa people to the rest of the world. All these, will be delivered to the whole world from Nairobi,” said Marindany.

Marindany said the station to be owned by the stakeholders, who are Kenyan Maasai and others living with them in Maa land.

“We want to define our achievements, historical injustices and all the issues that need to be shared worldwide,” said Marindany in an interview with Kajiado News Update.

He said the TV station will be used by all the Maa counties to profile their achievements and cultural works.

“Our Maa nation is rich in cultural issues, and most of them will now be positively exposed through such channels. We need to market our country’s tourism sector through such a TV station,” he said.

Our Culture, Our Pride.
