Politician Sankok Teeka says the removal of Morris Kaaka from the crucial docket of finance in the county is aimed at “finishing” Keek-Onyokie community.

“Governor Joseph Lenku does not mean well to the community. Kaaka was targeted because he does not condone corruption, and this is the good reason he was demoted,” claimed Teeka.

Teeka, who is a critic of governor Lenku, claimed the governor has nothing to offer the Keek-Onyokie community, adding that the governor is also targeting the national transport and safety authority boss, Francis Meja, for removal before the of his term.

He made the claims while governor Lenku was away in Italy. Lenku’s personal assistant, Daniel Kanchori, said the transfers are normal and should not be seen as “intimidation”.

“Lenku transferred Finance CEC, Michael Semera and no one made noise. What is wrong with a mere chief officer who has been transferred to a crucial devolved department?” asked Kanchori.

He said the idea of the transfers is not meant to intimidate anyone but ensure smooth delivery of government services.

Teeka claimed Meja’s term is not yet over but that Lenku could be engineering his removal in a bid to “eliminate” those he fears will challenge him in 2022.

Talking on the phone, Teeka who claimed he was in the company of former Nairobi speaker Alex Magelo, said Kajiado West Constituency has potential contenders in the 2022 gubernatorial election, and that the governor is doing all that is possible to “intimidate” them.

“The reason why he has removed Kaaka is to open up the county money for his people to loot. He could not access the money because Kaaka does not condone corruption,” claimed Teeka.
