Lenku, who is on a one week tour of duty in Kajiado South sub Country, was expected to commission a market in Loitokitok town as ODM politician, Shadrack Saibulu alias Wenger, hosts hundreds of guests in the same town.

Besides Tobiko, other politicians who thronged Saibulu’s thanksgiving at Loitokitok Catholic Church include; Tarayia ole Kores, David Nkedianye and outspoken Jubilee nominated MCA Yvonne Tonkei.

As we filed this story, shortly after 1 pm. guests were still streaming at Saibulu’s ceremony as word went around that politics would take center-stage in the function.

Saibulu, who is popularly known as Wenger, is a firebrand politician who lost grip of Kuku Ward rep seat in the last general election to Jubilee’s Julius Meshuda in a battle that had not been witnessed before.

Saibulu was supported by former governor Nkedianye in that election which he also lost to Lenku. Nkedianye was recently appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to head a government water sector for three years.

All indications reveal Nkedianye will be gunning for the top seat with an aim to wrestle it from Lenku. If Nkedianye topples Lenku, Kajiado county politics will be written in the history for hosting one-term governors.

Tobiko, though she has not indicated she would be going for the top seat, has also been making Lenku uncomfortable for the last four months in her pronouncements that are seen to keep in checks her county boss.
