Police have impounded a vehicle whose registration details are similar to the one used by suspected terrorists at Dusit D2 in Kitengela, Kajiado County .

On Tuesday, after the attack that left 14 people dead and scores injured, the National Transport Safety Authority circulated details of the vehicle suspected to have been used by the five terror suspects.
After the circulation, the owner of the Kitengela vehicle impounded on Wednesday called her workers from abroad and instructed them to contact the police.
Kajiado county police commander, Kipkemoi Rop, confirmed the impounding of the vehicle and said they are investigating it.
“The operation was carried out by DCI officers from Nairobi and I can only confirm it was impounded for investigation purposes,” said Rop on the phone.
The light Blue car has all other details that are similar to those provided by the government and police are now carrying out investigations to establish who the right owner is, and how a duplicate number plate was issued and where.
“We shall hold the car in our custody until the DCI completes their investigations,” added Rop.
