Lands CECM Hamilton Parseina today escaped uninjured along with his official driver as they were hit by a truck while driving along Mombasa road headed to Kajiado from Nairobi.

The accident happened between Tuskeys and the road branching to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the Morning today.

His car was hit from the rear by a speeding track and on stopping; its driver took off with police traffic officers and members of the public in his pursuit. He was apprehended minutes after attempting to escape.

“We were driving slowly and suddenly I heard a big bang from the rear and on turning back, I saw the truck behind us. Luckily, a traffic police officer was around and had seen what had happened,” said a frightened Parseina.

After getting stranded for sometime Kajiado Resident Judge Reuben Nyakundi arrived at the scene of the accident and noticed Parseina, whom he gave a lift to Kajiado.

“I was so grateful to Justice Nyakundi for his consideration to stop and check what was happening before giving me a lift to my office in Kajiado,” said Parseina.
