Bhang Haul Shocks Police in Quiet Loitokitok

Security agents in Loitokitok are still in shock after Nyumba Kumi members uprooted an eighth of an acre of bhang today in the South Sub County.

Loitokitok security agencies uproot weed at a farm in Inkisanjani village.

The police, led by the head of Nyumba Kumi Initiative in the Sub County, Lekarokiaole Mangoro, invaded a farm in Inkisanjani area and uprooted the bhang.

The farm is alleged to belong to a local, Lekoko ole Mepukori. It was invaded after a member of Nyumba Kumi Initiative leaked the information to security agencies.

Our source says upon the arrival of security team, Lekoko disappeared in to thin air and left security agents in his farm.

A neighbour of the suspect told KNU on phone that they have never known the plants from the farm were actually bhang.

“We thought they are trees for feeding goats and sheep. I was really shocked that what we have been seeing for many years is bhang,” said the neighbour who asked for anonymity.

Police gave a street value of the haul at between Sh100, 000 and Sh400, 000. They said they are hunting down the suspect.
