Governor Joseph Lenku have accused unnamed politician of planting seeds of discord and preaching hate among residents of county.
First Lady Edna and governor Joseph Lenku distribute foodstuff to 600 families in Kitengela.
Lenku claimed on Monday the politician is on a mission to divide the people of the county in the middle along tribal lines.
He spoke in Kitengela town after leaving St. Monica Catholic Church and before distributing food items to 600 less fortunate families when he claimed he has full details of the alleged leader out to plant seeds of hate.
“It has come to my knowledge that as I continue to unite Kajiado people, there is this one politician who is planting seeds of discord among the tribes living in this county,” claimed Lenku.

Although the governor did not outrightly name names, a war of words has been brewing lately between him and Kajiado East MP, Peris Tobiko, who has vowed to “teach” Lenku a lesson for allegedly blundering Kaputiei community resources.
Lenku, though, did not name anybody as the person behind the division of the people.
He went on to say; “Politics of hate has never been in my political agenda. I am only urging you to ignore such people and help me build your economy as a region.”
The governor said he fully support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ambition to leave a legacy of unity after the famous handshake last year with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
He said it pains him to learn that as he is uniting the people regardless of their creed, tribe or colour, one leader is bringing down bridges for political mileage.
“What political mileage will that person gain if their agenda is to divide the county into clan blocs and preaching hate against other tribes?” asked the governor.
Last year in December during a thanksgiving for Kaputiei North MCA Joshua Olowuasa, Tobiko arrived at the function seconds after Lenku had left, and decided to attack the governor publicly and alleging he is plundering natural resources found in her constituency with an aim of benefiting his Kisonko community from Kajiado South.
But Lenku has steered off from her attacks, and even refusing to comment on her allegations. Tobiko told Lenku to prepare for a political fight for the top seat in 2022.
Tobiko even hinted on who she will hand over her seat as Kajiado East MP. She said she will hand over the MCA Olowuasa to the electorate in 2022 as she faces Lenku on the frontline for the top seat.
After distributing foodstuff to families in Kitengela Lenku, who was accompanied by county speaker Johnson Osoi, MCAs Francis Kesha (Oloosirkon) and Paul Matuyia (Kitengela), said plans are underway to tarmac Mirrium’s Road that goes to Kitengela Sub County Hospital.
“We are also working on other two roads in Kitengela town while the GK Prison’s Road is almost complete,” he said.
