It is a case that has shocked Githima villagers, investigating police officers and the Green Garden Academy where Angela Wamboi, 6 schools.
Ngong police confirmed the incident and said Wamboi’s body parts were recovered in Githima village, some two kilometres away from her home.
The police told KNU the boy committed the alleged offence on Friday and the body parts were discovered in a gunny bag at 2.30pm on the same day.
The suspect was arrested by members of public when he turned up at his home on Saturday afternoon before being handed over to Kiserian police station, which is under Ngong command.
A senior superintended of police in Ngong who chose anonymity, confirmed the boy was booked in at Kiserian Police station before being taken to hospital after members of public allegedly beat him up senseless after showing up at his home.
“I can confirm the suspect is in our custody and we have taken him to hospital for treatment and later to be examined after it became suspect he defiled his victim,” said the senior police official.
Eye witnesses, Esther Mumbi, who viewed the dismembered body parts before police took them to City Mortuary said it was done with precision and suspect the boy, could have been under the influence of hard drugs.
Mumbi, who spoke on the phone, said the village is shocked by what happened because the suspect has no history of violence.
“What he has done has never been heard before and the entire village is wondering what bedeviled the boy. This is not normal for a boy his age to do. We hope he will tell the police what influenced him to that extent,” said Mumbi.
