As group ranch election campaigns hit main stretch in South after Eselenkei had their day last Tuesday, an MP has says he is pro-nobody.

Kajiado South MP, Katoo ole Metito, today clearly indicated he has no hand in the campaigns and will not be supporting any particular side.
“I am not supporting any side, and so they can elect themselves without external interference,” said Katoo on a text message.
People privy to the election and campaign mood in Ololarashi/Olgulului group ranch say the mood is tense as thousands of members are expected to vote for their leaders on November 19.
“So far, we have not had any incidents or petitions like in the past elections. We are going for this election with a fixed mind because we want truthful leaders at the helm,” said one member who refused to disclose his name.
Loitokitok deputy county commissioner, Lawrence Kinyua said he does not foresee any issues in the Monday election and that members have assured him of a peaceful AGM.
“We are not taking any risk, and therefore I will personally oversee the security of members with my team in the Sub County,” said Kinyua.
