The Imaroro youthful MCA, Amos Peshut, started his political journey in 2013 when he took on former are councillor, Timothy Sayiore, and lost.
Losing the seat, that was close to call at the time the opposition had made inroads into Kajiado, did not dash Peshut’s future desire to represent his people of Imaroro Ward.
Come last year’s election, Peshut’s star shone from the horizon when he downed his closest political opponent, Sayiore of Jubilee, to win the now coveted seat in the county.
“My win was made possible by the people of Imaroro who saw good leadership in me. This is the reason I have invited the people who gave me this job to celebrate their win in my thanksgiving ceremony at my home in Kiloh village on August 17,” said Peshut on telephone.
He went on; “This is to honour God and all Imaroro people for believing in my leadership. From the bottom of my heart, I am also extending my invite to the people of Kajiado from Mosiro to Masimba. Come celebrate with us.”
Peshut, a refined speaker in the county assembly, is from Wiper party and says he will expect several leaders from the left wing of government in his thanksgiving party.
He said he will use the occasion to present his MCA’s annual report card on developments he has undertaken for the people of imaroro in the last one year.
“My people want to know how their money has been spent to bring development. I have an obligation to expound on what we have done so far, and what is in store for the next four years. This is a journey we have come together with the people of this great ward,” said Peshut.
Those expected in the homecoming include; Makueni Senator, Mutula Kilonzo Jnr., Party leader Stephen Kalonzo, many other MPs and MCAs from Makueni.
