Kitengela blogger and ODM activist Longton Jamil, was today charged in a Kajiado court for allegedly forging land document contrary to the laws of Kenya.
Jamil, who was arraigned in court in the morning on Tuesday, was also described in a police charge sheet presented to the court as a Somali national.
The court heard that Jamil, among other people not in court, forged a land document from the county land registry without the authority of the concerned officials.
His argument in court to prove that he is not a Somali national fell on deaf years, and the magistrate would not hear anything about it.

Jamil denied all the charges, and a full hearing will be heard in 14 days.
The magistrate said she could not alter a police charge sheet and the case will be heard to its conclusion.
He was released on a Sh100, 000 bail, and the magistrate also ordered that a land title deed be deposited with the court after its valuation has been processed.
His relatives managed to raise a land title but failed to get the Sh100, 000 required for him to be released.
Jamil’s family member Ali Haro said the accused was sent to remand prison and would spend another night in custody.
His wife said after Jamil was whisked away his phone was taken away by the authorities, and was unable to communicate with her husband.
Jamil had earlier claimed he is a Luhya from Western Province, and that he was shocked that the police “framed” his nationality.
“My parents are Luhyas from western Kenya and I have brothers and sisters here in Kajiado who will stand by me in court, and to proof my identity,” Jamil earlier told KNU.
He claimed the land in question belongs to Kitengela Islamic associations and that he should not have been charged as an individual.
