Three people died in a grisly accident on Saturday evening along Emali-Mombasa highway after a vehicle they were traveling in collided with a bus head on.
The accident occurred at the junction of Emali-Loitokitok road when a Chania Bus that was traveling from Mombasa to Nairobi collided head on with a Toyota Probox vehicle that was headed to Loitokitok.
Makueni Police Commander Joseph Napeyian, told the Star late Saturday, three people died on the spot and several others were taken to Makindu hospital for treatment.

ter a trailer hit a motorbike on Friday evening at 8pm killing an employee of the county government.
“What is happening is that these buses are rushing on the road to beat up the time set by National Transport and Safety Agency barring PSV vehicles from traveling at night,” said Napeyian.
During the Friday accident, Napeyian said, one person died at the same spot while the other, who both were traveling on a motorbike broke his legs.
The injured was rushed to Makueni county hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Napeyian cautioned drivers approaching Emali from Mombasa to be cautious at the junction of Loitokitok-Mombasa road.
