Police in Kajiado are holding a suspect who shot at, and injured a reveler at Mistranda Club off Namaga Road on Saturday morning.
Eye witnesses gave KNU an account of what transpired when the suspect engaged a customer in an argument and later pulled out his gun and fired at once.
Witnesses claimed the suspect had initially bragged that he is a police officer attached to State House in Nairobi and would not listen to “fools” before released a bullet at the reveler from his gun.
After incident the suspect who was in company of three other people attempted to flee from the scene but was apprehended and handed over to the police.
It is claimed that one of the friends of the suspect had also pulled out his gun but never fired it.
Kajiado OCPD, Eric Nteere, confirmed the incident and said his officers have launched investigations into the matter.
“Indeed there was a scuffle at the club this morning where one licensed gun owner shot another man. We have arrested him and he is helping us to unravel the cause of the problem. One of the men who had a gun, we have established is one of our own,” said Nteere.
Nteere said the injured person was rushed to Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.
He said the bullet went into the victim thrown the lower abdomen.
