Kajiado West MP Moses Sakuda on Saturday said Jubilee Party in the county will trounce opposition Nasa “miserably” in the coming elections.
Sakuda, who spoke in his Kimuka home during a mammoth prayer rally held in his honour by voters in the constituency, also said he is optimistic the party nominations to be held this Friday will be transparent.
The MP, while addressing more than 10, 000 voters, guests and friends from outside the constituency, said Jubilee is more organized than before in facing the electorate in Kajiado.
“We have organized ourselves and have also promised to deliver the seat of governor and all the 25 MCA seats in August this year. We are telling those in Nasa that we have upped our game,” said Sakuda amid wild cheering from the crowd.
Sakuda said the ruling coalition made a grave mistake in the 2013 general election that cost them the seat of governor after their only candidate, Tarayia ole Kores, was ruled out of the race in the last minute by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission for lack of credible education credentials.
He said the ruling coalition managed 23 MCA seats out of possible 25 and four MP seats out of a possible 5.
His guests included Nairobi Women Representative, Rachael Shebesh, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungua, Kajiado North MP, Joseph Manje, nominated MP Janet Teyiaa, Kajiado governor aspirant Joseph Lenku, several nominated and elected MCAs.
JP nominations expected to take place on April 21 are expected to be stormy in Kajiado West, Kajiado East and Kajiado North.
Already, Sakuda will be facing Kajiado County Assembly deputy Speaker, George Sunkuyia, Nairobi County Assembly Speaker, Alex Magelo, politicians Sanko Teeka and Philip Wuantai.
In Kajiado North, Manje is expected have a battle of his lifetime from Parsimei Gitau, whose bid is currently rated high in the local scenes.
MPs Peris Tobiko, Mary Seneta, Julius Ntayia and Patrick Nasoore will be displaying fireworks as they go for each other’s necks in a political battle it has never been witnessed before.
Seneta and Tobiko have not been seeing each other ever since the former decided to leave her seat as Kajiado Woman MP and seek fresh mandate as Kajiado East MP.
It is predicted that nomination of MP party bearer will be nasty and all security agents have set their eyes in Kajiado East Constituency.
It will be a walk-over for Katoo ole Metito in Kajiado South Constituency in JP nominations because so far, the only candidate, John Lalaito, who would have given him a run for his money defected to Party of National Unity after he claimed he would not receive fairness in the ruling coalition nominations.
In Kajiado Central, Patrick Tutui, Captain Antony Kiroken and Abraham Koshopa will be gunning for the flag-bearer and whoever wins will be meeting MP Memusi Kanchori of Nasa on the ballot on August 8 general elections.
In the senate category, Senator Peter Mositet will be facing a host of others in the nominations, while several Women Rep aspirants have emerged to squire it out on the nomination day on JP ticket.
